Berlin's “officials come up with the concept of a mandatory legal agreement that says Serbia is not required to recognise Kosovo's independence, but is required not to prevent Kosovo's membership in the UN and international organisations --” said at a press conference with elements that should contain the binding legal document, which was conducted by the Forum for Ethnic Relations.
The forum's founder said the German delegation in Belgrade is also coming to receive support for participation in the new phase of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, which starts in May, which means that Berlin and Washington representatives will also be present in the hall, reports “b92”, Perskopi.
Janzic said that 90 per cent of these proposals, drafted by Berlin, are in line with the Forum for Ethnic Relations proposal, which has been made in co-operation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
According to him, following the signing of this mandatory legal agreement, a change of constitution should follow.
“in the forum's view, dialogue and the process of normalisation is the road leading to resolving the life problems of the citizens of Serbia and Kosovo, and thus the best solution in the existing historical circumstances, enables the interests of both sides to be realised,”.
According to Janjic, the forum document attended Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq's invitation that all social factors should be included in internal dialogue on Kosovo.
Janjic expressed that their positions would be found in the proposal for a solution Vuciq is making.
The foundations of the agreement between Serbia and Kosovo, from the edge of the Forum, also include that the parties will develop good relations, on the principle of non-intervention in domestic affairs, will respect Brussels' agreements, resolve disputes peacefully, regulate vital and humanitarian issues, with emphasis on undiscovered persons.
According to Janjic, the agreement means that parties will develop co-operation between municipalities and their communities. /Periscopi/
