So said during the discussion “Kosovo, EU Council Presidency and the new Western Balkans Strategy (HOD) What can we expect, Bulgaria's Ambassador Gernot Pfander, Austria's chief of EU in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, Gift Hoxha, Minister of European Integrations Nedialcho Danchev, Austria's ambassador, while moderator Augustin Palocaj, under the organisation of the German GIZ.
European Integration Minister Gifted Hoxha said that publishing the Strategy for Enlargement a few weeks ago was good news for Kosovo and the region in general, because Kosovo has a clearer position and Western Balkan countries have European prospects, provided the respective reforms are undertaken. It has also cited works Kosovo must perform.
According to her, this strategy has shown Serbia that dialogue is necessary for both sides and that according to it it is very important, because Serbia must realise that dialogue will be concluded with only an acceptable agreement from both sides.
The head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostova, has said the biggest issue for Kosovo is addressing reform in the field of rule of law, fundamental rights, good governance and work towards reconciliation and good neighbourly reports.
Bulgaria's ambassador to Kosovo, Nedyalcho Danchev, has said the strategy shows that the door is open for enlargement and is also indisputable as a security element.
