American Embassy strongly condemns recent events in the north, seeks to continue dialogue

In a media communiqué, it is said that the United States of America invites both sides to avoid further escalation of the situation and to solve problems peacefully.

Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia must normalise, and for that the United States is willing to make their contribution,

The United States of America strongly condemns yesterday's events in Mitrovica, which unnecessaryly raise tensions and threaten regional stability. We encourage all sides to avoid further escalation of the situation and to act wisely and to resolve differences peacefully. To create lasting peace and stability in the Balkans, Kosovo and Serbia must focus on normalising relations through EU-led dialogue. The United States is ready to support all sides in the Dialogue talks.
