The American Embassy calls to Albanians: Eagle in Danger

The American Embassy in Albania, through an official Facebook profile, has made an interesting appeal to Albanians.

This embassy has said that the chief white eagle is a symbol of both countries -- Albania and the US -- while calling for this species to be preserved as it is heading towards extinction in Albania.

Did you know that the eagle is a symbol for both Albania and the United States? In the United States, the chief white eagle was removed from the federal list of threatened and endangered species on August 9th 2007, and the species is now in bloom. Unfortunately, the eagle is in danger in Albania. What can we do to preserve these extraordinary species?”, writes the American Embassy in Tirana on Facebook.
