Kosovo's Agency for Accreditation (AKA) has said it will not file a complaint at the European Register for High Education Security of Quality (EQAR) without the new members of the AKA Board proposed by Minister of Education, Science and Technology (MASHT), Shyqiri Bytyqi.
After this statement, in the late hours of the evening, August issued an announcement saying that “The AKA will take advantage of the right to complaint in the opitmal term, exploiting all its arguments, August and the prime minister's Office for legitimacy and the reasonableness of decisions affecting this process”, writes Koha Ditore today.
Ratification of members of the Parliament's Accreditation Board has been blocked for the minister's non-report of dismissals. Minister Bytyqi has not commented at all on the newspaper's question about conditioning AKA.
Two days ago, the ECAR has ruled out the Agency for Accreditation with the findings that following the Education, Science and Technology Minister's decision to sack the State Council of Quality and U.S.A. of the director of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, this agency “has lost its ability to operate autonomously”.
