In office, Wessel recognised Croatian counterpart with the formation of Kosovo Friendship Group -Croatia in the Kosovo Assembly.
Wessel expressed interest in empowering co-operation in the MSA's field of implementation, with whom he appreciated the role of Tony Piculas, as rapporteurs and Croatian Eurodeputs as supporters of the process.
The head of the Parliament said Kosovo could benefit greatly from Croatian experience in the area of economic and institutional development, especially in the realm of European integration.
“Croatia is Kosovo's partner in the journey towards the European Union. He has been one of Kosovo's first supporters as an independent and sovereign state. We expect even more support from Croatia, especially in the integration process towards the European Union, as it is a path the Croatian state has successfully passed. Kosovo will likely receive parliamentary experiences from Croatia, but in many other areas as well. We will intensify our reports as two friendly states”, Veselin said.
