Thaci reacts to decorations: I've decorated you, it's just proposals I don't want to hurt you.

Massive reactions to the decorations issued by the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, in honour of Kosovo's ten-member Independence, have prompted the reaction of the latter, who in a writing on his official profile has said he understands the frustration of several individuals regarding the issue, as [...]
Thaci has said he is considering more than 500 name proposals, which have been proposed for receiving the Presidential Medal.
Thaci's medals have so far been rejected, Veton Surroi, Rexhep Qosja, Sylejman Selimi, Fatmir Limaj, and several other names. /Periscope. /
Full response:
At the work table, I have removed fewer than 500 names of national and international personalities and organisations, promoted but also self-proposed to receive the Presidential Medal of the 10th Annual Independence.
So far I have considered no more than 20 proposals, 13 of which have already been rejected and 7 have been approved. I'll look into the rest for the next few days and weeks.
Some claims by individuals are inaccurate. No one can refuse the decoration without being decorated.
I understand the frustration of some, but according to my criteria, you cannot be decorated by the state of Serbia for contributing to Yugoslavia and Kosovo at the same time.
I will observe the constitutional, legal and national criteria with precision, and for clarification, the proposals are not decorations.
Rejecters won't get public answers because I don't want to hurt them. The decorated will be officially announced. HTH
