Thaci meets German diplomat, refocuss German partnership Kosovo

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has hosted Germany's Foreign Minister, Siglat Gabriel, today.

President Thaci has thanked Minister Gabriel for the support people and the German state have given to the people of Kosovo in all periods.

“German is a strategic partner of Kosovo, not only on the bilatheral level, but also on our journey to the European Union”, President Thaci has stressed.

The president has urged the continuation of Berlin's support in the Kosovo membership process in the European Union, stressing the importance of adopting demarcation with Montenegro, which paves the way for visa liberalisation for Kosovo.

On the other hand, Germany's Foreign Minister, Siglat Gabriel, has expressed happiness in his visit to Kosovo on the eve of the 10th anniversary of independence.

The German minister has assured President Thaci that Germany will be a powerful partner in continuing to consolidate Kosovo's international subjectivity, economic development and the European perspective of Kosovo.

President Thaci has stressed that Kosovo will remain a reliable partner and will continue to stand before the international obligations it has made.
