Fatmir Sejdiu former President of Kosovo, at the time of Kosovo's declaration of independence, speaking on today's news show, Radio Dukagjin's Good News, has cut off moments and emotions from the early hours of the independence declaration. Bringing these secessions, former President Sejdiu has said he had little sleep and much emotion [...]
There was no sleep on the night of February 16. There was no personal comfort, there was emotion in me like any Albanian. There was a moment that didn't have the luck of killing other generations. They were preparing for recognition. The memorable date. We had this destiny as a generation. Important that it was a joy. ”
Asked about other details of those hours, Sejdiu has also recalled the news of Serbia's arrest warrant.
“The arrests had been granted for free separation from Serbia for 15 years, a prison sentence of at least 15, from one for me, chief Parliamentary Krasniqi and Thaci. ”
Sejdiu has also spoken of the cold weather, remembering that even the low temperatures of that day were in favour of controlling the observed measures.
It was all coordinated. Even the weather is supposed to be clear but cold. But emotions didn't stop. We had communication with Kosovo centres. ”- says Fatmir Sejdiu, president at the time of Kosovo's declaration of independence.
