A Russian fighter plane “Sukhoi-25”, today, has collapsed in the rebel area in the northwest province of Idlib in Syria.
The Russian Defence Ministry said the pilot had managed to jump off the plane, but has fallen into an area believed to be controlled by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham coalition, linked to al-Qaeda.
According to the Russian ministry, he survived the crash, but was killed during field fighting.
