The presence of the United States in Syria “is illegal,” said the Russian embassy at the UN, who reminded this detail of its Western homoles Thursday at a closed-door meeting of the UN Security Council. “No one invited them there,” said Vasily Nebenzya, stressing that a struggle to jeopardise stability in Syria is becoming reality by US actions.

On Wednesday, the US-led coalition attacked Syrian defence forces in Deir Ez-Zor, reports “RT” Transmission Periscope.

According to the Russian defence ministry, the Syrian militia unit was advancing against a sleeper <x0-cellular” of terrorists in Islamic State ( IS, earlier I SIS / I SIL) near the former oil processing plant in el-Isba, when it suddenly came under massive air strikes.

At least 25 millic were injured in the attack, the Russian minister noted, clarifying that pro-government troops targeted by the coalition did not co-ordinate their work with Russian command./Periscopi/
