Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree Tuesday to enhance a number of foreign citizens who have made a significant contribution to strengthening co-operation and friendship with Russia.
Among them rewarded with “The medal of Pushkin” was Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic.
The award comes just weeks after the Serbian delegation led by the head of this state, A Leksandar Vuciq, visited Moscow, where they met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Anni why Vucimbed without “The Medal of Pushkin”, the Serbian top diplomat was honoured with “Friendship Order” for achievements in strengthening friendship and co-operation among nations in previous years.
Before the head of Serbian diplomacy, former Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic was honoured by the Russian president for strengthening ties between Serbia and Russia.
