When current Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj sought the people's votes to reach his post, among other things, his parents had pledged from 10 euros a month for a child. He had taken an example of Macedonia, which this amount amounts to up to 40 euros a month.
“If Macedonia can give addition to children, 40 euros per child, 80 euros for the child that has only one parent. Why don't we think about it until today, and we, as soon as we start somewhere”, had Haradina say.
He also said that if the state doesn't have the budget to give this amount until the child grows up, at least by the age of 7 it would split.
If they can't have 40, they could have 20. If they could not until the age of 18, they could even be between the ages of”, women had said, during a gathering at the cinema, Ramush Haradinaj.
Six months after that promise, the prime minister has done nothing about the matter. The Express newspaper has sent questions to the Government of Kosovo concerning when this promise is planned to be implemented, but the same have not returned responses.
This idea was welcomed by parents, and even the same idea had been presented after Haradinaj as the candidate for prime minister from VV, Albin Kurti.
However, Haradinaj has yet to undertake anything about that promise. Otherwise, for this six-month term he is in power, much has been criticised by civil society and citizens -- once for the large number of deputy ministers -- then for luxury holidays, scandalous statements to journalists, and so on.
