KSF Commander-General Nakman Rama reported to the Commission for Internal Affairs and Security.
Rama said the KSF is ready at any moment and anytime the political decision is made to transform into the Armed Forces.
He added that there is no tendency that is building a force that is dangerous for someone else but a force that is in the interest of all.
Vetvendosje MP Rexhep Selimi said the KSF is the most creditable institution in the country. According to him, this best manifests the desire of citizens to have its military protection.
Selimi added that even transformation is a challenge. He voiced confidence that the KSF will implement the Parliament's decision to transform KSF into the military.
MP PDK Fatmir Xhelili asked Commander Rama to clarify the process of transformation and time until that happens.
While Rama said it is impossible to change a mission for a short time.
He said the important thing is to maintain these capacities in order to prepare for new challenges. Rama said if institutions decide then they can cut time, but according to him there are budgetary implications.
AAK MP Muharrem Nitaj has demanded that he know about gender representation, minority percentages, etc. In his response Rama said 8 per cent in the KSF are women, the highest rank holding a female is colonel, 10.2 per cent are minorities. While KSF has 2,500 active members and 300 are reserve.
