A North Korean delegation, led by a general who in the past is accused of an attack on South Koreans, has gone to South Korea for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games “Pyeongchang 2018x1>.
But this has not been well received by locals.
Gen Kim Jong-chol is blamed for an attack on a South Korean battleship in 2010, after which 46 sailors died.
North Korea denies having been involved in this attack, but the victims' families and the prime minister of South Korea joined in a protest, trying to block the general's crossing to the border.
At the Olympics, the two Koreas marched under the same flag at the opening ceremony, and the women's hockey team consisted of South Korean and North Koreans.
However, the Korean peninsula has remained divided since the 1950-1953 war, and both sides have never signed a peace treaty with each other.
