The Ministry of Interior Affairs through the Civil Recording Agency, supported by German company “Verdos GmbH-Identity Solutions by Giesecke+Devreer and Bundesdruckerei”, has launched the project “Pate - mobile partner” today.
This app allows for the driver's license through smart phones. Minister of Internal Affairs. Flamur Sefaj, proud that Kosovo is the first country to offer its citizens such an app where they can download a driver's license through it at any time or place. The minister has shown his priorities and reasons.
We can say we're ahead of the others in this case, because it's the first app used in the region, maybe even in Europe. Such an app and is useful. The first reason is to cut costs. We're going to make a discount because we're going to cut the cost then this will have the impact of having the price cut which citizens, drivers will pay. It's very useful because it's a good percentage of lowering that price. At the same time, it speeds up the process of getting the document into security. False opportunities are spared. Apart from the digitalisation of patenting drivers, we're also working to digitize all systems and processes within the MPB”, Sefaj said.
According to him, this is being done in order to prevent speculation and misuse. But the minister has not indicated what the price of the app will be paying citizens to download on their phones, even though he said the cost of the app is zero. The chief of operations from the company, “Verdos GmbH-inentity Soups by Giesecke+ Devriener and Bundesdruckerei”, Hermann Sterzinges, has said that this application allows police to access much easier data.
This shows that we're in a place where people with inventory trends live here. I want to congratulate you on the awesome team who's leading this project together and it's been a great achievement. I wish to thank you for choosing us to reach this goal. That choice, however, can be easy and good. More important, though, is easy to use. There is no problem because police officials can verify this driver's license immediately with a smart phone with this app. This gives a priority in easy verification “, Sterzinges said.
This app at this stage is testing and that the app is originally in English and that according to company representatives will soon translate.
