Minister Bytyqi: We'll work on establishing quality in schools

He made these comments after meeting with Prizren Mayor Mytaher Haskuka, with whom he talked about co-operation in the field of education, the Pisa test and the establishment of the quality of education.

Bytyqi said August on every issue and problem is willing to discuss, to change the state of education in Kosovo. He said he is a professional group, considering the state of universities in general, including in Prizren.

I consider that the DKA in Prizren is guided by a very professional person and that identifying the problem is quite easy by this director. The possibility of co-operation with the ministry will be a very close and open opportunity, while opportunities to realise all the things Prizren's municipality needs, the schools that are located in Prizren will see based on the budgetary limits we have. But close co-operation will solve many problems, especially I consider in addition to infrastructure in schools, we will do a great job in the way of establishing quality in schools”, the minister Bytyqi said.

While the mayor of Prizren, Mytaher Haskukaj, has spoken about the situation in the education sector in this municipality, saying there are several schools for which there needs to be interventions to save the poor state of infrastructure.

“S, along with the education director, asked for some interventions in several Prizren schools, which need renovations such as high school “Gjon Buzuku”. It is currently in very poor shape in terms of infrastructure and I believe that in the future we will look together to have better facilities in schools in Prizren”, he said.

Moreover, the head of the Prizren municipality voiced confidence that the Directorate of Education of this municipality will work on implementing the goals of establishing quality in education, where teaching training is provided, so that at the end of the mandate this director will be one of the most successful directors.
