Monday afternoon, the pollution level in Pristina has recorded the figure 104, according to measurements made by the American Embassy.
Such a level is considered dangerous for sensitive categories, writes today “Koha Ditore”. However, unlike the few weeks ago when Kosovo's capital is placed at the top of the world list for high level pollution, the situation currently seems more acceptable.
A group of environmental volunteers have started measuring air quality in various parts in the capital, and from measurements it is seen that pollution is more present on the peripheral roads associated with downtown Pristina. Air pollution monitoring has been implemented from 15 February to 20 February.
Measures from public places and offices in Pristina have been compared to the Air Quality Index (AQI), values published by the American Embassy in Pristina, using the “device LaserEgg” from the company “Origins”.
