Following the one and two-hour strikes held in the past weeks, the United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture of Kosovo (SBASHK) is expected to hold protests before the Government on 7 March, while 12 March at its request to hold a day strike in education.
Following these two actions, if the government does not reflect on realising agreement signed during election campaign between the coalition PDK-AAK-Nisma and SBASK, the latter is expected to call a general strike, Koha Ditore writes today.
The SBASK chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, has announced that the union Congress has proposed to announce a day strike on March 12th, while according to him, are also consulting for a protest before the government on teacher day.
At the request of the union in most schools and 5 public universities on February 14th, it was held an hour-long strike, and on February 20, a two-hour strike.
Last week, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has held a meeting with union representatives, already Saturday at the meeting of the SBASK Congress, where the prime minister was expected to be deployed for general strike.
