Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselin and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, today have committed serious violations of the Law on the State Protocol. All three of the country's leaders have travelled for world-changing states. And the Law on State Protocol envisions that state leaders at the same time cannot travel abroad.
The country's three top leaders have abandoned the state without consulting or co-ordinating it in advance, as the State Protocol law envisions.
The law on state protocol envisions that state leaders at the same time cannot travel abroad.
But, exactly today, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, have travelled to the US, where they will participate in the “Morning Prayers”.
Outside the country but today, Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Wessel has also emerged.
He is leaving for Croatia, where, according to the announcement of the Parliament's Media Office, Wessel will reportedly meet his Croatian counterpart, Chief Parliamentary Gordan Jandrokovic.
The release of three senior state officials opposes the State Protocol Law, as practically the country remains without any of its top officials.
The state protocol is publicly informed of any movements of key personalities, president, Speaker of the Parliament and Prime Minister abroad. Visits are co-ordinated so that they are not all three simultaneously abroad”, the Law on State Protocol says.
This is sanctioned in Law No. 03 L-123 for the State Protocol of the Republic of Kosovo, exactly, head IV, which speaks of the official ceremony of the top state authorities.
This means that in the event of an extraordinary event in Kosovo, no one will be able to give any orders, as it is thus envisioned by law.
And this is not the first time the president, prime minister and Speaker of the Parliament has violated this law.
They have done so with the occasion of Mother Teresa's sanctification ceremony in the Vatican last year. All three attended that Mass, leaving the country at no one's mercy.
