Kosovo punishment policy guide approved

During this session, the Labor Report of 2017 has been reviewed, with the mayor's case presenting statistics regarding the Supreme Court's subjects to the audience, alleging that effective work has been done despite the challenges that have been presented to the court in the past year.
Setting up the annual work schedule for 2018 has been another point of the agenda, meanwhile, a longer discussion has been made during the review of the Kosovo International Policy Guide, which is prepared by local experts with the support of the American Embassy in Kosovo and the American State Department.
The judges discussed the appointment of this dock and the tribunal's competence to approve it as its product. Most judges agreed that this guideline is very necessary, especially for the new judges, and the Supreme Court as an institution that unifys judicial practice, has the competence to approve this document, the Supreme Court communiqué said.
During the discussion, the Supreme Chief suggested that through this doracac efforts will be made to clarify the Penal Code's provisions about the measurement of punishment and thus to unify penal policies in Kosovo, as various sentences have been observed in practice for similar cases.
This guide was approved by majority of votes by the Supreme Court judges and is expected to be a collaborative, non-combative tool for judges and prosecutors.
