Juncker has called for ratification of demarcation with Montenegro, saying it is a condition to move forward in order to reach visa liberalisation.
But, Junccher from Kosovo authorities has also sought to combat crime and corruption.
It is essential that your Assembly vote soon with Montenegro. It is a key step, inevitable towards visa liberalisation. All efforts in fighting crime and corruption must further deepen. I am not pleased with the idea that Kosovars are in the region and Europe the only ones who cannot travel freely. They are citizens like others and must have the right to resolve the demarcation issue. Also achieve concrete steps in fighting corruption”, Juncker said.
He said the recently published EU strategy for the Western Balkans included Kosovo.
“We are happy to complete our trip to Pristina to meet all partners. The strategy we have recently published involves the entire Western Balkans, including Kosovo. This strategy highlights the importance of reforms in Kosovo and the region. These reforms respect the rule of law, justice. Basic rights must be”, Junccher said, Periscopi reports.
Juncker said the European Union is primarily a community of values. Kosovars will find a secure future in Europe. /Periscopi/
