Jahjaga sued for slander

Former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga has been indicted for slander by the Berisha family from Suhareka because of her public statements regarding the Shyhrete Berisha case.
The Berisha family lawyer, Vahide Braha, told Inseder that the indictment was made because Jahjaga said that Shyhrete Berisha, “has been removed from the house where she had lived with her husband and children”.
Braha said the initial session in this case will be held this month.
The initial “session will be held on February 14th at the Pristina Foundation Court”, she said.
Insander has also tried to contact Atifete Jahjaga's lawyer and is awaiting an answer from him.
Shyhrete Berisha, who has survived the March 26th 1999 Berisha family massacre in Suhareka, where her husband and four children were killed after the war, had launched a court battle to take half of the house she claimed to meet.
For several years she faced trial in the process with her brother-in-law, Arben and Xhelal Berisha, until July last year when I win the case.
The court in Suhareka ruled that Shyhrete Berisha owns half of the residential house and also owns half of the property in Suhareka.
The Arben brothers and Jalal Berisha have complained to the second degree over the Suhareka Court's decision.
Jahjaga has come to the defense of Shyhrete Berisha, she, even after the court ruling, had words for the denied “Justice”.
