Hoxhaj has said that by not inviting Kosovo to the Western Balkan countries meeting, Bosnia is promoting anti-European values and exclusive politics that undermine regional co-operation. Hoxhaj has even called this Bosnian behaviour evidence that Bosnia has no independent foreign policy, but that it is directly dependent on Belgrade.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoxhaj has also welcomed Albania's Foreign Affairs Minister Ditmir Bushati's response, and Macedonia's Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani, who, on realizing that there is no invitation for Kosovo, have cancelled participation in this meeting.
“By not inviting Kosovo to the Banja Luka summit, Bosnia is promoting anti-European values and exclusive politics, thus damaging regional co-operation. The annulment of participation by Macedonia and Albania is the best response to such a policy, which also shows that Bosnia's foreign policy is directly dependent on Serbia”, Hoxhaj has written on Twitter.
There is still no reaction from the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the event.
