Hahn has declared that conditions that have set the EU for membership will not be removed, but will not have new conditions.
He has made it known that each state will be singled out on merit.
“The enlargement strategy suggests what is possible for all countries in the region, and membership is based on the merits of each country”, Hahn has said.
Those statements he made during his visit to Montenegro.
Hahn stressed Montenegro will be among the first Balkan states to become part of the EU.
EU membership is not only Montenegro's strategic goal, but also the EU's. Which has also been shown in the Enlargement Strategy”, Hahn has said.
Otherwise, according to this strategy, Montenegro and Serbia could be part of the EU by 2025.
