So he has at least stated in an interview for N1, stressing that he expects the two states to reach the expected final agreement.
We deliberately did not propose any date. Talks are not easy, and the parties need to” the opportunity to find a lasting legal solution. Like the whole process, quality and speed are important”, Hahn said.
According to Commissioner Hahn, dialogue is in the best interests of two states, especially on the road to the EU.
“In the past we heard in Kosovo: Why talk, that only serves Serbia. But it is in Kosovo's interest to achieve normalisation with Serbia”, he says further.
Hahn also commented on the EU enlargement strategy, which he described as very positive for the Balkans.
Commissioner Hahn stated that all states aimed at integration must meet the conditions set by the EU.
