Despite almost three weeks since it has accepted the initiative to abolish the Special Court, Kosovo Government has not yet come up with an opinion about further steps
While the executive has only one week left to declare on this issue, institutional leaders (the president, prime minister, chief governor) have already withdrawn (alarmed) from this initiative. Besides them, MPs from the ruling parties who have signed the initiative for the break-up of the Special Court are no longer persistent in its abolition.
This withdrawal has been welcomed by the international community, meanwhile, opposition representatives have considered that state leaders have betrayed their deputies. Despite this, such an initiative to abolish them has been described as the biggest scandal in recent times, writes Voice newspaper today.
On the other hand, the Parliament's labour monitors say the government may even not be declared at all regarding the issue of the initiative to abolish. Despite that, just as they have made it known the initiative must go to Headship and then proceed for a vote in the Assembly so that it can get its epilogue there.
