Serbia's first Deputy Prime Minister added that this meeting, which took place in the State Department, offers great hope for successful bilateral co-operation in the coming period.
“The meeting was dedicated to our future and bilateral relations. I wrote in the guest book, usually done before the start of the talks, to sanctify this meeting and to mark the 100th anniversary of the alliance between the US and Serbia in World War I,” said Daciq at the end of the meeting with Tylerson, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
But since then, 100 years have passed and therefore we want to restore our relations, seek common interests and a way to help the United States achieve our key goal of stability, peace in the region and resolving open issues. First of all, I am thinking of an attempt to solve problems with Kosovo forever, and I think they listened carefully to all our arguments,” said Dacic.
According to him, this meeting confirms that the new US administration has at least “readiness not to say any more understanding of what Serbia is talking about regarding previous administrations, and especially those administrations that were taken in the war conflict in the former Yugoslavia. ”
During the meeting, Dacic said, as he stressed, that the time for the US president to come to Serbia, given that the last US president, who was in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia, was Giuseppe Carter.
