Czech President Milos Zaman has repeatedly lobbied that the Russian hacker banned in Prague and wanted by the United States be extradited to Russia, Czech Justice Minister Robert Pelican has been quoted as saying.
The 73-year-old former communist, Zeman, with pro-Russian, pro-kinese and anti-Muslim approaches, has won another presidential mandate last month.
Yevgeni Nickilin, 30, who is wanted by the United States for assumptions about cyber attacks on social networks, is currently in prison after being arrested by Czech police in Prague in October 2016.
His arrest operation was conducted with the FBI.
