Apostolova signals for visa liberalisation: It's done impressive work.

Within the framework of “Four 2015”, the new EU enlargement moment was discussed, what Kosovo” can benefit.

The head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, said that impressive progress has been achieved in recent days in meeting the criteria for visa liberalisation.

Kosovo has done impressive work on meeting 93 of the 95 conditions for visa liberalisation. I think we've had very positive developments these days. We're closing the demarcation vote in the Assembly and we hope that this happens tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. On Friday we had a meeting with all parliamentary parties, except for the Serbian List, while only from Vetevendosje there was no consensus for demarcation”, Apostolova said at “Four 2015”, Koha.net reported.

But, as the other Kosovo criteria, Apostolova said it is also fighting corruption and organised crime in order to become visa liberalisation.

According to her, after the demarcation transition, European institutions will come up with a new report.

The EU chief in Kosovo said she will now meet with political representatives to facilitate the process towards voting on the demarcation agreement that would lead to visa liberalisation.
