After several hours of parliamentary debate, with 73 votes against, 11 pro and no abstention, Albania's Assembly has not approved the draft resolution in question, which was submitted by several deputies from Albania's Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration Party. Meanwhile, 56 MPs have not participated in the voting process.
Opposition MPs during their talks at the session have claimed that Albania's December 21st vote for the resolution condemning US President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Kuds as Israeli capital is a vote against The United States.
