Over 38,000 cases of flu, this is the IKSHP report

The National Institute of Public Health during the permanent monitoring of infectious diseases in Kosovo, through the monitoring system of the epidemiological situation in today's summary report, has outlined increased intensity of seasonal flu cases. A total of 38,506 suspicious cases in the flu, 3,932 cases of Accus Respiratory Infection and 74 cases of Caspian Respiratory Resurrath have been reported between October 01 (40th and February 11th).
The cases are reported by all Kosovo municipalities except municipalities with Serb populations, broadcast Koha.net. The largest number of cases are reported by the municipality of Pristina, Prizren and Podujevo.
During the week 06 (05-11 February 2018) there have been 7123 suspected cases of flu, 333 cases of Accus Respiratory Infection and 6 serious cases of Ice Respiratory Disease.
At the laboratory of the National flu Centre - IK The KPS by February 14th 2018 have tested a total of 403 samples for typisation and subtypes on the flu. Of them 202 or 52 %s have resulted in positive Influence. According to Influenza type, 84mostra are positive in Influenza A and 118 in Influence B.
The epidemic of seasonal flu is continuing with slightly increased intensity of flu cases.
The National Institute's comprehensive recommendations remain in place and apply to the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, re-focusing once again the necessary measures in all health institutions.
MANT has already given recommendations for all pre-school, elementary and private (public and private) institutions that all children and students with signs and symptoms of flu (high temperature, fatigue, nose leaks, throat pain, coughing, belly and vomiting, headaches, stomach and muscles) avoid contact with healthy students and staying at home by adhering to the doctor's recommendations.
The National Institute recommends that citizens be cautious and not long in cold surroundings, not to stay in closed locals with widespread density, and to use as many hot fluids and vitamins as possible.
All who feel sick should be introduced to the family doctor as soon as possible to prevent complications.
The Ministry of Health's health inspectorate is overseeing all Kosovo health institutions for reporting infectious diseases.
USKKUK has taken measures to reduce the number of family visits to hospitalised persons, provide protection tools for health professionals, and disinfect all areas of health institutions.
Kosovo's National Institute of Health epidemiologists are paying attention to the epidemiological performance in the region, Europe and the world.
In Albania, the flu has marked slightly added intensity and several cases of Aussie (A/H3N2) flu have been identified. The same epidemiological situation is recorded in neighboring countries.
Kosovo's National Institute of Public Health has increased vigilance and there is no room for panic in the population because all serious cases are carefully addressed at the SHSKUK.
The National Institute and Health Institutions are prepared to deal with increased flu cases as unpredictable diseases, and for any changes in the epidemiological situation, citizens will be informed over time.
