Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini, at the opening of the meeting with the ambassadors of the QUINT countries, President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and members of the state delegation, said that the Republic of Kosovo is ready for the phase of final dialogue with Serbia, and, as he said, “along with our Western allies, will prevail, ensuring recognition of independence from Serbia, the seat at the UN and acceleration in Euro-Atlantic integration at<1>.
The head of the Assembly as the host of the meeting, where it brought together all institutional leaders and the negotiating team, briefed international partners from the QUINT member states that the state of Kosovo has achieved unity for the final process of dialogue, and in this process he said they also expect unhurted support from partner countries, just as in all processes that Kosovo has been through.
Kosovo has so far been co-ordinating with its Western allies through any important process. The past has shown us that this co-road, and unity of the political spectrum on major issues has always resulted in victory for Kosovo. So today I only have one clear message, we're ready and we're together”, Vessel said.
US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costnet, Ambassador to Great Britain Ruairi O'connell, as well as ambassadors of other countries and representatives of the EU Office in Kosovo are attending this meeting. Although they were invited to attend this meeting with Western partners, representatives of LDK and Vetevendosje were still missing. /kp
