Urologist Lutfi Dervisi released from custody

Based on the decision that has provided “Koha Ditore”, the suspension of the detention has been argued with the fact that this case has returned for the second time to the retrial and that “in spite of the efforts of this court, it is not reasonable to expect the retrial of this case, which will not be able to be completed before 201918x3>
The court has estimated that the Criminal Procedure Code can only be applied exclusively, when it comes to detention as a recent measure, when the presence of the defendant cannot be secured through other measures. This court has assigned Dervis the measure of house arrest.
Urologist was sentenced earlier this year, following his retrial to 7 and a half years in prison. However, in November the Court of Appeals has turned the case into retrial because of procedural violations.
