He said violent rebellions, such as the one seen in France, must be avoided, and alternative policies are needed for that.
“Dhuna is never a tool, he said. Dialogue is the best way to move forward, and we offer dialogue to ensure that we address issues that people are concerned about”.
By closing the Congress, Timmmermans said that next year's European elections are critical for the continent.

Last March, Timmermans had said that the borders of the Western Balkans should be in existence.
At a media conference during the German Marshall Fund Forum (GMF) in Brussels, Timmermans said that in order to avoid future conflicts in the Western Balkans, we must make sure that the borders in this region are existing.
“They may be dogs, they may be important, they may be relatively important, they may be insignificant, but today they are very existent. If they continue to remain existing after the composition of the area under demographic conditions and in terms of ethnicity this is the recipe for disasters in the distant future”, he said, the EBB reported.
He said one of the beautiful elements of European integration is that this process does not eliminate borders, they remain citizens, but are not existent.
This has happened between France and Germany, among all the countries after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and that is exactly what we should do in the Western Balkans”, he added, broadcast Koha.net.
“I will always be passionate about continuing the process of integrating Western Balkan states into the European Union. This will not happen during this Commission's mandate, and this has made very clear to Chairman Jean-Claude Juncker, but it will happen once in the future”, that Timmmermans had concluded that today took the lead of the European Socialist Party (PES).
