“Who, or who, can hardly speak now I”, has said Prime Minister Haradinaj as he has been asked to comment on the role Thaci will have and his team, in negotiations with Serbia, writes Koha Ditore today.
He has given this stand several hours after going to the letter address bearing EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica Moghrini, Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malstrom, and Commissioner for Neighborship and Enlargement Johannes Hahn. Through it, Haradinaj has been asked that the team mandated by the Parliament “supports Thaci's efforts in dialogue”.
“Letra requires that the team be the president's input and supporter, but it is not binding on us how we do things in Kosovo”, Haradinaj has said. But it has added that the president's constitutional role cannot be denied.
“Now we have a new situation, it is known that in the past political dialogue has been led by the president and we have had technical dialogue. Now Parliament has voted the delegation. The government's position is to support the institutions in the dialogue, the president, the Parliament, this case the delegation. The president is the constitutional institution, as well as the delegation that has voted the Assembly which is legitimate”.
