Students at the University of Tirana and Polytechnics protested in front of the Ministry of Education to request cancellation of the fee for back exam.
The protest began at the university around 09:30, and then they marched to the Ministry of Education, calling on Education Minister Lindita Nikolla to cancel the decision. According to them, the tariff is high and cannot be paid in just one installment, while Minister Nikola will have an official reaction.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama, responding to social media commentators, asks them if they agree to pay them -- taxpayers, university expenses for the remaining students.
“I disagree, the first, and the second, there is no tariff increase since 2014 (and the minister's tariffs, but the university itself, is called university autonomy), but there is a flurry of pots, disinformation or lyaf after the pipe, as well as the insistence by a minority not to accept the reform implementation that brings the university out of the multi-year-old Batak<1>, Rama said.
