It has been a long time since Kosovo has received recognition from major states. The only recognition Kosovo had received this year had come to February from the small island of Barbados.
On the other hand, during this year several times it was reported for the withdrawal of recognition by various states, the last are the Solomon Islands, which two days ago announced the withdrawal of Kosovo's recognition. For this and for attracting other recognitions Kosovo diplomacy accuses Serbia of doing aggressive propaganda against Kosovo citizenship.
In a response to the newspaper “Voice” given days ago Deputy Foreign Minister Rayhane Vunici has said they are opposing and working against Serbia's efforts to revote Kosovo recognitions. “We have successfully rejected Serbian efforts to revote Kosovo's recognition in recent months, and in the same way we will continue to react to Serbian efforts aimed at damaging Kosovo's international stance”, Vunici has said.
Furthermore, she has added that Serbia cannot stop recognising Kosovo despite its lobbies, and that the MPJ is constantly working to speed up the recognition process.
Kosovo's “Name is an unstoppable process. Geography is global. The countries have the sovereign right to make decisions and we are working with some countries to speed up the process. We are working with countries that have several reasons for reluctance to recognise Kosovo, so the challenges are the biggest”, Rayhane Vunici has said.
