After Monday, when all QKUK clinics went on a 24-hour strike, there are surgeons who, through the signatures given and a council without union backing, have continued the strike with the only requirement, increasing their salaries, KTV reports.

Abdominal Clinic Director Rifat Bajrami has said the Council has decided not to interrupt the strike.

In the Sy Clinic, however, medical staff have said that all week long, except for emergency cases, no one else has been treated.

The letter that some 100 doctors have signed says that their demands are non-negotiable.

But, from the actions of their colleagues, the chairman of the Kosovo Union Federation, Blerim Syla, has said surgeons have not supported the Union for the strike.

Sylla via phone, has warned that the national-level strike has been postponed due to the Christmas holiday and that it will be held on Wednesday.

While the doctors' only request is to raise their salaries the same as those of prosecutors and judges, it's patients who haven't received adequate services throughout the week.

Behind the cameras, they have expressed their concerns about the fact that, according to them, they rarely happen to see doctors and something like that, he's been accompanying them all week long.

A day before the Union of Health Federation gathered its council, during a discussion with members of the Commission for Health had warned strikes, protests, and even lack of medical assistance if the central level did not consider their demands for salary increases.
