MPs from the Serbian List since last night are staying closed in the spaces of their parliamentary group in the Kosovo Assembly.

They are determined to stay away from “until they meet with European Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn.

Serbian List Deputy Chairman Igor Simuri told Kosova Prees that they have received confirmation from the EU office that they have accepted their request for a meeting with the European commissioner, but that they still do not know whether I will meet with him or not.

Sini said that through this meeting, they want to show Europe how damaging the 100 per cent tax on Serbian products is.

“We have entered this protest with only one request, that Johannes Hahn come and short be informed of the risks that may follow because of government decisions that prohibit the entry of goods from Serbia entering Kosovo. So far we have confirmation from his cabinet that our request has been accepted, but we still have no confirmation that he will come to meet with us. We have contacts with the EU office here in Pristina, and we have told them that our request is to meet with Hahn. We're still waiting for confirmation. Until Johannes Hahn comes and meets with the deputies of the Serbian List we will be here at our workplace where we are fighting for the rights of our people. We want the EU to show that the Kosovo government's decision does not bring any good to anyone in Kosovo, neither Serbs nor Albanians, nor anyone else”, Si enemies said.

The enemies complained that none of Kosovo institutions officials have met them, as well as have not found support from Albanian MPs.

No one from Kosovo institutions officials has come to meet with us. We've asked for a meeting with Hahni, but the government has given the decision to raise the tax. We have expected this protest to support Albanian deputies as well because the high prices of products and the reduction of food will affect everyone, but that is their decision”, Siove said.

During the day, MPs from the Serbian List have been visited by EU office chief Natalia Apostolova.

She said after the meeting that she has heard Serbian MPs' concerns closely today.

Apostolova, though he has not ruled out the possibility of meeting Serbian deputies with the Hahn commissionor, added that his agenda is very dense.

We unfortunately have a very tight agenda for the Hahn commissionor, which is coming for mediation between Pristina and Belgrade. In order to help him in this process, I just met the Serbian List, where I explained to them what the responsibility of the program is and to discuss openly what their concerns are and what needs to be done in this regard. I very much hope that they have understood the message, the messages are clear from us, from the committee's cabinet, and from the commissioner himself, and they may also have the opportunity to express their concerns, and if not, they can present them on paper and find the right way to meet him and express their concerns to him individually”, Apostolova has declared.

Asked whether commissionor Hahn will play a role in ending the protest on the part of the Serbian List, she said she still cannot speak about it.

Apostolova said that the European commissionor's message in Kosovo is clear that this tax is damaging Kosovo and that Kosovo with this decision is breaking international laws.

“I think the commissionary message will be of a line with all European capitals expressing their concern and their representatives about the tax. This tax is damaging Kosovo at the moment it is also the leader of CEFTA, as it is breaking the laws. I think the commissioner has taken a courageous and important step with his visit in order to help the process of finding a solution between Pristina and Belgrade”, the EU chief said.

Otherwise, MPs from the Serbian List since last night are protesting in the Kosovo Assembly as opposition to the 100 per cent tax on Serbian products.
