Thus has it revealed, Avni Arifi, head of the Kosovo Delegation in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
He has reiterated the government's stance that the 100 per cent tax on products of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina entering Kosovo is not being done to hurt Kosovo Serbs.
In the decision government made last month, it has been stressed that this tax would not be worth donations of goods.
The Kosovo government has never taken actions that violate or endanger the welfare and health of its citizens despite ethnic affiliation. Our actions are stripping Serbian government propaganda that the 100% tax creates a humanitarian crisis. No crisis. Kosovo today has released the donation regarding medical medicine and medical equipment dedicated to the Hospital Centre in North Mitrovica worth $242,356. The tax is for the state of Serbia and its policy, not for our citizens”, Arifi wrote.
On the other hand, several protests were held in northern Mitrovica over the tax that prompted the resignation of three northern mayors.
