The Kosovo Security Force, in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Municipal Education Directorates in municipalities, has organised awareness campaigns in Kosovo primary schools with the aim of alerting students to the risk of their use of pyrotechnic means.

The campaign has been carried out from December 10th to December 19th, and primary school students from Pristina, Mitrovica, Peja, Gjakova, Prizren, Ferizaj, Gjilan and Dragas are involved.

According to one media communique, during this period 17 classes that have participated in over 1,000 students have been completed.

The “Laws are held by instructors of the Demining Company, who are prepared and trained for dangerous means. Students show great interest in these sermons, which were seen by their many questions about these tools. It is noteworthy that a large number of them were very vocal against their use”, said the KSF communiqué.

Legal instructors engaged in the event, Sergeant Valon Abdyli, Corporal Butrint Kastrati, Corporal Liridona Musaj, Corporal Speed Gashi, are very pleased with the students' interest and the commitment of school personnel where these lectures have been carried out.
