The Movement for the Union has reacted to the PSD, Social Democrat Initiative and Alternative initiative for the resolution on Kosovo-Serbia talks.
In response to the media, the LB has stressed that with concern it finds that in the document that has been made public, these subjects are lacking in approach to the main problem facing Kosovo.
Full response:
Kosovo Assembly expected to review draft resolution proposed by P DS, the Social Democrat Initiative and Alternatives on Dialogue with Serbia. The negotiating team will also be established as the product of this resolution and later compiled platforms for talks, as well as the law on dialogue.
The Union Movement with concern finds that in the document that has been made public there is a lack of access to these subjects to the main problem facing Kosovo. The main motive for holding talks with Serbia should be the functioning of the state of Kosovo through strengthening its sovereignty. This sovereignty cannot be strengthened without the release of Kosovo from the situation of being hostage by the Serb minority, which has this power due to their constitutional privileges, which are expressed through veto right to any initiative for constitutional changes or laws belonging to 8 areas under vital legislation. This goal can never be achieved through the approach of this resolution - rigid and restrictive in the possibilities of finding real solutions to the country's real problems.
In addition, it is disturbing that at the moment the issue of Eastern Kosovo Albanians has opened for the first time, and the possibility of through these talks being addressed their position and the possibility of their attachment to Kosovo, the Assembly of Kosovo, through a resolution, tries to close any such possibility, by doing incalculable damage to both Kosovo and the Albanians in Eastern Kosovo.
In view of the major dilemmas among political subjects regarding the manner of resolving unresolved issues, this platform should not set limits but set principles for resolution. And among them, what would have to be beyond the reach of any political subject, is the principle of full reciprocity with Serbia. Any other approach, would be the path to a <x0 selection” which can guarantee the functionality of the state of Kosovo and retain its sovereignty.
