Through a video on the social network Facebook, Prime Minister Rama has given an answer to students who are still protesting today in front of the Ministry of Education and Sports. Rama wished the students not only had the will to protest but also the will to dialogue, because “on the road is designed to seek the attention of decisionmakers to your concerns, while concern is addressed through dialogue with decision-makers”.
I want them to know that I have a lot to say, but also a lot of desire to hear, face to face, no censorship for public opinion, no directors, no managers, no professors, but only students selected by protesters, without any party filter or administrative body”, Rama said.
The prime minister said this country has won the full freedom of protest for five years, without risk of bullets or political revenge, whether we have agreed to any protest or not. The protest had it guaranteed as never before the invisibility of its citizenship status.
“If I could choose, today I would like to be a student protester once again, but as prime minister and as a former protester, I have the conviction that by listening respectfully to each other, whether we agree or not, and by becoming together for modernising higher education in every respect, we can speed up and do much better the huge work that remains to be done in the benefit of University”, Rama said. /Top Channel
