The Federation of Kosovo Health Unions has indicated that around seven o'clock they are on strike 24 hours in all health institutions in the country, and this is due to their failure to meet their demand for salary increases.
So said in a pronomation for Telegrafi, chairman of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions, Blerim Syla.
According to him, the request of the White House is too simple to adopt the Law of Pays.
This morning at 7: 00 a.m. on the country's strike, primary, secondary and tertiary medicine. Only emergencies are currently working. The demand is simple, as it is discussing, that prior to the budget approval go the wage law, which envisions classification of health workers. The wage law should take into account remarks from the Federation and the parliamentary Commission for Health. If this does not happen then I have no choice but to other measures and more radical than those we are using today”, he said.
Syla stressed that they feel ignored by local government.
He said that if they do not receive any invitation from the latter, then in the evening the Headship of the Union will meet to take other measures.
We are currently awaiting completion of work hours, whether we have an invitation or not, because we are ignored. A week ago we held a QKUK strike, no one invited us, and if we did not, once the leadership will re-negotiate and once again the decision 24 hours for today, will other measures be taken. Other measures could also be border-free strike. If they do not reflect, then the responsibility rests with power, not us. We have respected every legal-juridical rate, but what's enough is quite”, the chairman of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions, Blerim Syla, said among other things.
Otherwise, the strikers' demands are to pass the Law on Salaries, based on the amendments of the FSSHK or the Parliamentary Commission for Health and Social Goodness, as well as immediately start implementing the law.
