Qrolli: The year 2018, failure for Kosovo ?

Political analyst Vigan Qrolli, in the interactive KTV, speaking of key events this year, has said that the year 2018 has brought problems both internal and international.

The highest legislative institution has completely fulfilled its constitutional and democratic duty, achieving only 22 percent of its plans. This is failure, and democracy in Kosovo is in deep crisis. Then problems with the Serbian List, clashes between Thaci and Haradinaj, even in the personal report, even in the institutional one. The fight against organised crime and corruption has failed, and this proves non-liberalisation of visas. On the international level, failure to round Kosovo's citizenship. Interpol failure. The continuing challenges facing Kosovo are recognition or recognition revocations. This is damaging Kosovo's citizenship. This has prompted the international community to seek border change. And dialogue does not seem to have an epilogue about what his outcome will be, whether he has a touch of territory or not. The president has evacuated non-stop for so-called border correction, but it is still unaware of what will happen”, Qorroll said, making a summary of political developments in the country during 2018.

He has also cited the launch of the Special Court's work, saying that next year will be even more difficult, as its work and the establishment of charges for top KLA leaders are expected in January.

In other words, Kosovo's citizenship is threatened, and that is Serbia's greatest wish. Serbia, for 10 years since independence, hurts Kosovo's independence. We need to see what that political strategy is that would reach consensus”, he said.

On the issue of visa liberalisation, Qrolli has said the responsible is the political elite in Kosovo, despite the fact that the EU has shown itself very insincere to Kosovo.

“The EU is founded as an elyptical club that requires some standards to meet. They have been extremely insincere in relation to Kosovo. Since this is an eliptic club, standards are higher than for membership in other organisations. Guiltys of failure must be held responsible for our political elite, who have often failed to meet EU requirements. By putting their hands on the judiciary and the prosecutor, they have damaged the process. It is not due against the EU just passing certain laws. The EU is not the mechanism Mrs. Moghrin puts. There decisions are made by consensus among member states”, Qrolli said.

Speaking of the founding of the Negotiator Team, led by Shpend Ahmeti's Fatmir Limaj, analyst Qrolli said co-chairing this dialogue is the tendency of Haradinaj's control over the dialogue, since, according to him, he has felt constantly ignored, as well as the Initiative.

For Ahmeti, he said he should deal with the capital rather than deal with the dialogue.

He says next year would have to be announced early elections to ask the sovereign to legitimise the new political scene.
