British Security Minister Ben Walles, citing British intelligence services, said on Monday that the terrorist group has managed to develop new methods to smuggle into airports that may be used for hand-to-arms activated during flight.

Al-Qaeda has been renewed and is now reshuffled in new ways. The aircraft remains a real danger, and aircraft attacks are perceived as a kind of trophy. In 2019 we have to keep an eye on Al Qaeda.

Security in the aviation industry has been greatly strengthened following the attack that former head of Al-Qaeda Osama bin Laden organised on September 11th 2001 against the World Trade Centre in New York.

But the world intelligence agencies report that groups like Al-Qaeda or even the Islamic State act by assigning their own people to airports, even thinking of using bomb fears technology to meet their targets.

Al-Qaeda is thought to have established a network of 400,000 jihadists worldwide, while according to a Kremlin official, the group's monthly profits are estimated at $26m to $53m.
