Procrastination of works on main road to Veternik continues

The main road linking the capital's entrances is still stalling. In addition to the beautiful picture that that part gives you as they enter Pristina, the real state of the route of Veeternik has become quite dangerous. Crossing the earth and breaking the protective wall is making two of the four promised lanes and behind [...]
The vast flow of cars in this area is quite high, and the gap between road and landslide can be measured by inches. While the great footrace taking place on this road has caused citizens to lose patience and to look at the whole project with scepticism.
For these reasons, quite problematic this route is seen by Arian Loja from the Kosovo Architectural Association. The wrong location of the protective wall, he says, has caused the road there to slip constantly.
According to him, the protective wall of the present has not been placed on the sound base of the soil, and as he says, if it is established in the same way and the foundation is not well established, the problem will be repeated.
While it is the competence of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Pristina municipality, through its spokesman, Adonis Tahiri, says this project has begun without their permission.
Tahiri says that from the beginning of this project everything has gone wrong because there has been no consultation with them. According to him, landslides will always occur with massive walls, but other forms must be used.
While Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Rexhep Kadriu has blamed past governance, saying that all these problems emerging on this road are due to the wrong project they have undertaken.
In spite of this, Kadriu says that the ideal solution, in spite of constant slide, is the protective wall. However, in addition to the latter, they will be deployed, and pilots who will strengthen the wall will be placed on solid ground so that it will not slip.
The nearest deadline for completing this road's expansion, according to Deputy Prime Minister Kadriu, is spring of next year.
This route has begun to expand in 2017, from past government and is designed to be a four - lane street in one direction, the lighted sidewalk, and the bicycle path.
