The court in Islamabad made that announcement on December 24th, while declaring it guilty of only one of the two cases for which it was tried.
Sharif on the other hand has denied any wrongdoing.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in July for buying luxury apartments in London.
Sharif had appealed that sentence and was released on bail in September.
