Ashamed has been Great Britain's ambassador to Kosovo, Ruari O'Connell, after presenting data from the Kosovo Institute for Justice report about the integrity of the justice system in fighting corruption.
While IKD director Ehat Miftaraj has introduced the way corruption cases are prosecuted where high-profile officials are involved, from these records it turns out that only the former head of the municipality that Klokott has been sentenced to bias of the cut form, and on condition, reports “Koha Ditore”.
O'Connell, after this presentation, said that my “is being taken for this data given the British Government's insistence on the justice system”.
For the British ambassador, it has been especially depressing how top officials start investigating only when they lose their positions.
I saw the monitoring data most of the investigations start when officials lose positions. Are prosecutors starting investigations for political purposes? Is power serving as a shield from the judiciary? When the end of culture will come about that indescretion”, the British diplomat stressed.
The British ambassador has called on prosecutors and judges who are influenced by politics to give way.
This system needs heroes. Anyone who can't follow these officials, it's time to make a run for it, O'Connell said.
